boundary farm glamping suffolk news football & glamping!! 04/07/18 we are a site that prides its self on the fact that most of our guest want to get away from it all, with no need for gadgets and a chance to unwind!! well this of course would be when the world cup is not on!!, and especially last night game of england v columbia. unless you really hate the football that much and could not care less if they win or lose, i know that a few of our guest have been discreetly watching the games on their phones, and who could blame them. last was a fantastic game, nerve racking, moments of dread, but at the end of it all you can sit around the fire pit and relax with a drink or two and share your thoughts on the match. it was great to have guests enjoying the matches and bringing together the feel-good vibe, which is what glamping is supposed to do. it brings together family, friends, love ones and even strangers under the suffolk skies. we will see what happens this weekend, as england play sweden! family events at minsmere 04/07/18 i have been luck enough to accompany some children from our local school on their first school trip to minsmere nature reserve! we had a wonderful time taking part in all sort of activities learning and exploring the different wildlife and their habitats. we are only a short drive to minsmere, so i will be inspiring our guest to pack a pick picnic and head to the nature reserve, as its set right on the coast. this year is celebrating 70 years of rspb minsmere, and there are family events throughout the summer holiday from 21 july 2018, wild things- self guided activities, pond dipping, owl pellet, family nature walks and of course the big wild sleep out, a fantastic opportunity to spend the night at the nature reserve, to book and for further information please visit https://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves-and-events you can glamping with us and visit all the local attractions and places of interest on the suffolk coast, as were are only a short drive to suffolk . dinosaurs glamping adventure 14/05/18 time goes so fast, and before you know it it's time to get all the family and friends together to decided on the next big adventure. planning a get together,can at times be tricky due to number of things that need to be organised, especially if you are camping or glamping for the first time. we have tried to keep things "simple", so that our guests, can just turn up for their holiday and start to enjoy themselves, instead of wrestling with a tent,combating the elements, arguing in relation to equipment failure or lost pegs!!! stressful for everyone involved. we know, as parents that it can be the littlest thing, that can push you over the edge!! but glamping with us, takes away all the hassle of that, and a few weekends back i was happy to come to the rescue of a parent that had forgotten the favourite toy for little tommy (i shall call him) to sleep with!! this is when you know as a parent that could be a hell of a lot of trouble ahead. i had been trying to tidy up and sort out the children's toys and book etc and came across an old fluffy dinosaur who spent the weekend on his own little adventure with a lovely boy, and comfort him to sleep whilst glamping with us. happy parents, and a very happy boy. i was happy as they all had a lovely holiday. april is finally here. 03/04/18 our glamping season has started, and we are in spring!! i love getting the tents all prepared ready for our first guests to arrive. this year easter has came early, and the weather was truly awful!! i always worry that the weather will spoil things and always pray for sunshine, but our glamper's did not let that get the better of them, they had planned a weekend of adventure and that's what was going to happen. they went crabbing, had a bbq on the fire pit and they left a fantastic review, because they were happy with the experience they had staying with us and the memories they will take away, and it didn't really matter about the weather, as a holiday or a break away is what you make of it. so i will try to stop worrying about the weather, and inspire our guest with stories of other glampers and what they go up to, when the elements does not work out the way they planned. glamping in suffolk is fun whatever the weather, and you will always have the luxury of a cosy tent waiting for you after a day of adventure exploring suffolk . and relax. 21/02/18 the half-term holidays, went too quickly. we decided to venture out by train to the big smoke. london is a very fascinating place, especially for my two as we live in a rural area and the biggest town to us is ipswich or norwich. i have always wanted to go to the science museum with my lot, and going by train was an adventure. watching the world passing by as the children are playing eye spy, as we were happy to read, having not to worry about traffic jams, and lane changes. we were explaining and showing the children the things we used to use, like the old rotary phones ( which i still love)old tv's and other bits of technology!! they found it highly amusing to see the things that we used to take for granted. it's ironic, as this half-term we got away from it all by leaving the farm to explore london and visit friends. as for many of our guests, get away from the cities to visit the countryside, and it's slower pace of life. it doesn't matter where you are heading, as long as you see it as an adventure and a chance to explore with your friends and family. glamping gives you the opportunity to be a bit more laid back, and take in the s
